I actually got up earlier enough one summer morning to catch the sunrise coming through the trees and captured this amazing shot. I think my favorite part about it is how the light filters through the branches and leaves. I played with the contrast a little bit in photoshop elements 7 (loving just playing around with it and discovering stuff!).

During the summer I raised around 20 Monarch caterpillars. I kept them in an old fish tank and gave them fresh milkweed everyday. The more they grew, the more crowded it got inside the fish tank. These two kept running into each other (and eventually fought). I used the “fresco” effect in photoshop to give it some pizazz.

My mom has this windvane in the backyard as decoration in one of her many garden’s. Last year we had this huge ice storm and I decided to go out and snap some shots. I came up with this one and enjoy it so much I figured I would share it with you on one of those cold days!
