The beach is one of my favorite places to be…I love the smell of the ocean and the sound of the waves. This is a shot from my vacation on the gulf coast in Florida this past summer. Enjoy!

During our summer vacation at Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia we had a day with gigantic clouds and a bright sun. I cropped the right side of the photo (it was a blazing sun blob) to capture the true beauty of the photograph. I tweaked in photoshop (I am obsessed) with the waterpaper effect.
I’ve had somewhat of a hectic week and needed something that would calm and sooth. Here is what I came up with! I hope it gives you the serenity to begin a new week. Enjoy.

It took about 2 years but my dad finally installed the pond in the backyard that my mother always wanted. Not even a week after it was up and running we discovered that some friends had moved in. The Green Frog. These little guys were all over the place, I believe we ended up counting around 40 one day. They would lay on the rocks and sunbathe or soak in the water, but they stayed all summer.
